owl city...... belum lama sih gue seneng sama owl city. jujur awal denger, awal liat gue udah suka. tapi yg bikin bingung, ini grup band, solo, grup vokal atau apa sih,, nah daripada kalian bingung, postingan gue kali ini ngebahas tentang owl city... percuma aja kan kalau gue posting lirik-lirik lagunya kalau ga ada biografinya :))

Owl City merupakan proyek synthpop seorang Adam Young. Dibentuk awal 2007 di Owatonna, Minnesota, Amerika Serikat. Mulanya terganggu oleh insomnia, Young mulai menghabiskan malam di ruang bawah tanah rumahnyah, di mana sebuah komputer dan beberapa instrumen memberikan sambutan gara-gara pola tidur yang salah. Dia akhirnya menggabungkan dua aliran musik campuran antara electronica dan emo-pop, menggunakan komputer dan berbagai keyboard untuk merekam materi.
Owl City telah mencapai "Top Unsigned Artist" posisi di Myspace, setelah lebih dari total 10 juta memutar lagunya di situs tersebut. Owl City saat ini sudah bergabung dengan Universal Republic, dan sudah merilis album Ocean Eyes di iTunes 14 Juli 2009, dan kaset cdnya pada tanggal 28 Juli 2009. Single hitsnya yang terkenal 2009's "fireflies", yang pada Oktober 2009 mencapai # 1 di Billboard Hot 100 dan # 1 di UK Top 40 pada 24 Januari 2010.
Owl City telah merilis EP "Of June" pada tahun 2007; album "maybe i'm Dreaming" 2008; dan pada tahun 2009, album "Ocean Eyes" dirilis. Young mempertahankan dua side projectnyah Swimming With Dolphin, dan Port Blue.
